Kind of Like Rosemary's Baby meets Woodstock meets Godspell!

Let me explain myself.
I purchased this DVD yesterday for a whopping $3.00.
I have heard of H.P. Lovecraft, but have never followed his writings.
The movie is a period piece, and the period they chose was 1970, not the original 1928 the story is supposed to be in.
In Sandra Dee's dream of her on the bed in the field, it's so Rosemary's Baby right there! The people in her dream look more like Hippies from Woodstock or actors in make-up from Godspell!! Well that was the time , the hippie golden era, and they injected that into the film.
I don't mind the movie, it drags in some areas, the ending is typically American International Pictures, with that stop action! I won't go on, it's actually pretty clever the ending.
I am glad i have the film, i missed alot of movies from that era and would like to catch up, good or bad.

I know you posted this a long time ago, but you might check out Messiah of Evil, it has a similar vibe and looks a bit dated in a charming sort of way.

"You mean the movie lied?!"

I agree about Rosemary's Baby meets.....

But I just saw it for free on Xfinity and I'm glad I didn't even pay only $3.00 for it. It was a bit too slow for me.

I tried watching it on On Demand too. Just made it halfway through and I think I'm too bored to finish it.

definitedoll,

yea, it definitely reminds of me rosemary's baby. the same type of story, anyway.

I didn't like this movie.

I liked the special visual effects w/the monster and the music was creepy and good, but the rest of the movie was rather boring in MOST places.

I kept thinking it was gonna be MORE scarier than it was.
