Good God, that husband's teeth!

The lady with her lover in the big jar sure has an ugly husband! Was horrified by those teeth of his.

I know they went for a realistic portrayal of what people looked like back in the 14th century, but this was just a bit too realistic for me.

There were certainly some dentally challenged characters here. As well as the dim-witted cuckold husband, there was an old geezer a little later in the film who only seemed to have a single, oversized tooth remaining.

Curious where you were able to watch this? I'm reading the book these days.

I found a reasonable copy with English subtitles on YouTube. Beware if you check it out - there was also a version on there with horrendous English dubbing. It’s an uneven film, but parts of it are gloriously entertaining, very funny and even quite sweet. Is the book worth a read? I’m tempted to check it out.

OK cool, thanks!

There are 100 stories so it's pretty fun to just read one a day. Each is just a few pages. Of course the characters are isolating themselves due to plague, which resonates really well right now.

Yes, very topical! Thanks - I shall definitely read it. :)

You're right. The dubbed version is awful. Ironically it's better to get the Italian version and read subtitles.

I can never tolerate dubbing in live action movies. I find it horribly distracting.
