Favorite Story and Why?

So which was your favorite story? Why did it stand out for you?

I liked the story with the gardener and the nuns the best. I know it was meant to comment on the hypocrisy of the church. Instead, the story came across with a sense of innocence. Plus the fact the gardner was a stud didn't hurt.

Oh yeah, the farmer who preferred his mare without a tail was funny too.

Life is never fair, and perhaps it is a good thing for most of us that it is not.

Yes, that was sweet My_New_ID. Unfortunately, I think even 8 year olds today are no longer as innocent as the young couple.

The three brothers who take revenge on their sister's lover.

I like the Franco Citti story of the murderer/thief/pedophile who becomes a saint by lying to a priest in his deathbed confession to protect his dishonest hosts. I like it because it frames the first half of the movie from the very first scene to the mid-point, and I like it because of Citti's performance. His portrayal of the rogue is really, really dark. I haven't even mentioned the sneering attitude toward the Roman Catholic Church.
