roadshow release

Does anyone know where specifically this movie played as a roadshow. I understand it, as well as On A Clear Day...were both considered for roadshow runs but Paramount decided against it because of the percieved failure of Paint Your Wagon. Any input if welcomes, thanks.

Darling Lili played Radio City Music Hall in New York City and the Cinerama Dome in Hollywood; I don't believe either engagement was a textbook roadshow. I saw it twice at the Cinerama Dome, where it had a few roadshow trappings; there was an overture and an intermission, and (if I recall correctly) assigned seating. But I don't remember how many showings a day were offered, and no souvenir programs were sold.

Thanks for the answer, Murph. Much obliged. The Dome engagement may have been one of the few roadshow-ish runs since the movie was a complete critical and box-office disaster. it played in my town for maybe two weeks and was on double features a short time after.

Looks like "Darling Lili" was a roadshow film in Chicago (not sure where it was shown - Michael Todd or Cinestage?) but "On a Clear Day" was not a roadshow film.

Thanks for that info.

I saw it in a few different neighborhood theaters in 1970, and it had an overture and intermission. There was no souvenir program, like some roadshow releases had.
