this is not very good at all

3/10

When there's no more room in hell, The dead will walk the earth...

Oh come on sir...at least bump that score a little bit higher for Vincent Price! I agree this wasn't his strongest role, but you gotta love em!

I wasn't being completely serious. Second of all, I think you need to calm down, because you sound like a little crybaby bitch. Go change your tampon out, and come back with another reason to whine and complain about an IMDB comment. This all coming from the guy that has Lon Chaney, Jr. as his avatar, calling me the "fanboy". Get real, douche.

I think the three stars were for Price. I really do like Vincent Price, but this was a fairly putrid pile of sleazy celluloid.

reply

3/10 because...? Imagine what Radio 4's The Film Program would be like if all the panelists did that. "Welcome to The Film Program. Tonight: 'Inception'. Bollocks. 2/10. See you next week."

reply

lol. sounds like my kind of film programme.

admittedly, it is a terrible film. what a mess. the plot is all over the place even if you wanted to follow it. The best part is the fight around about the hour mark. so many missed punches and "I'll pause here for a moment in readiness for the next move" moments that it is one of the funniest fights ever put on screen. James Caan must have watched it before he made The Godfather!

reply

It's not very good, but I was never bored. 6/10 star from me.

reply

Rather crap - but deserves points for shock scenes and LOL at mad dog dubbed by bloke growling.
And where is the actual cry of the banshee ???? (assuming oona is the banshee)- "my chiiiiiillldrrrrren,my chiiiiiillldrrrrren" ???

Hey Witchdoctor, give us the magic words.
ooh ee ooh ah ah, ting tang wallawallabingba

Re "actual cry of the banshee." I don't think this sound is in the film. As far as I know a banshee is a supernatural being that portends death by shrieking to it's victim. So I suppose Oona is supposed to be calling up one of these beings to assist her in the destruction of the Whitman family. Oona was good. As was Vincent Price and Patrick Mower's medallion. So 6/10 for a film that could have been a lot better.

Oh, I love this schlock. Did anybody notice, at the start, one of the courtiers pulled out a revolver to shoot the two kids at the banquet? 15th century and he had a revolver that wouldn't be created for another four hundred years.

reply

Actually the first revolver with the lock was invented in the 15th century. Google it...

reply

Perhaps not a cinematic masterpiece, but pretty damn scary when you're 14!
