corpse or crucible of horror ??

is the cropse and crucible of horror the same movie in this case crucible of horror is only pg and the corpse is R so i'm confused????!!

Crucible of Horror is the US name for the movie. The Corpse is the title of the original UK version. I don't know whether there is any difference between the two versions as I have only seen the US Region 1 DVD version entitled Crucible of Horror.

With regard to the US ratings, I would suspect that both the original GP version in 1971 and the R version today are the same. I think the film has simply been re-rated to comply with updated MPAA guidelines, which are now much stricter than what they were in the 1970s.

What I do know is that this is an excellent film, that is let down only by its confusing ending.

The title for the Intervision video release in the 1970s was The Velvet House. This was pre certification and I wonder if its uncut ?

A bit confusing because a year later the British horror "Crucible Of Terror"(pretty good film) was released. Lots of "crucibles" in a short period of time.

The Corpse is certainly a better name for the film, more fitting than the ambiguous Crucible of Horror.

Corpse is the superior title. This movie is dominated(intended, I'm sure) by Michael.
