Time for a remake

This deserves another remake. I see the kid from SuperHero Movie in the Kurt Russel lead. It would be cool if Kurt Russel makes a cameo.

They just remade this (for good or bad) with Kirk Cameron a few years ago. It's WAY too soon for another remake.

The next should star Daniel Radcliffe. He should star not only in the remake of this one but in the remakes of Now You see him, now you don't and The Strongest Man in the World. All 3 deserve the remake treatment.

I tell ya, I really wish Disney would release the Cameron remake on DVD! Remember recording this back when it ran, but lost the tape in a move a good decade ago! It was a "Disney Family Movie" run on one of our local network affiliates (CBS, I think).

There is a Young Adult novel by Kevin Brooks called iBoy that has a similar premise that I would recommend to anyone who enjoyed this film. It's *much* darker though, as it's set on a modern British housing estate and features issues such as gang rape and knife culture, drugs, etc.
