Looking for movie-same time frame as this one

Don't know if I remember correctly from my childhood, but seems like I watched a Disney movie around the same time frame as this one. The movie was about a ghost of a pirate that haunted a sea side resort I believe. The teenagers in the movie I believe stuck up a friendship with the pirate to help save the motel from a crooked banker, or something like that. Anybody remember this. If so what was the title?

The Disney movie you are referring to is Blackbeard's Ghost(1968), where track coach Dean Jones(not teenagers) strikes up a friendship with Blackbeard The pirate (Peter Ustinov), in order to save an old lady's hotel from the crooked banker (Joby Baker).
