There were no real computers in this movie.

Computers of this time that were of the size portrayed were not powerful at all. A cheap scientific calculator is much more versatile and probably 1000 times faster.

They were powerful enough to have enclycopedia information and gambling records.

It doesn't take computer power to hold information. It requires recording hardware, nowadays hard drives, but back then it would have been tapes.
