City Beneath the Sea (1971) - Copy Wanted

I remember this movie well from when I was about 10 years old. I have thought about it many times since. I am not able to find any copies of this movie at Amazon or Ebay. Does anybody out there have a copy for sale?

Thanks,

here are some places where you can find it on VHS, but warning they are low queality. But when on DVD?

I have a really badly recorded VHS copy off the TV (from the 80s) that I wouldn't even consider selling because it's almost unwatchable in quality; all it does is remind me of how much I want this on DVD!!! CITY BENEATH THE SEA is a hoot, a howler, and a fun ride through Irwin-Allen-land.

Maybe Sheila Matthews Allen knows what's holding up DVD distribution of CITY BENEATH THE SEA...???

I put City Beneath the Sea in my search engine 2 weeks ago, I went down every link there was, I soon reached a site that has the movie for sale, I was able to get a copy , I was told that this was the last one they had . But you can try to see if you can get a copy from them, one seller has one for sale for 9.99 with a 3.00 shipping fee, it came in an amray box, no insert in the amray box, poor amateur colour sleeve, poor printing on the DVD, sorry directory on the dvd, by the crummy directory I know they used Roxio 7 dvd creator to make the copy, not a professional copy of the movie, it looks like it was made in someone's home.

The 8.00 copy said it only came in a paper sleeve, I deliberately ordered the one in the Amray box. As I wanted to keep it as nice as possible

Use your best judgment on which one of the two sellers you use to purchase a copy from.

By the way, be careful what you buy exactly. The DVD of The Fantasy Worlds of Irwin Allen (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0160266/) contains a movie called City Beneath the Sea, but it’s the 1969/1970 version (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0896922/) which is far inferior to the 1971 TV movie. I have seen at least one dubious-looking DVD that actually had this version instead of the one starring Stuart Whitman.

Here is an update to my post to you of three days ago. I purchased my copy of CITY BENEATH THE SEA from Musthavefilms.com

The City Beneath the Sea
Year: 1971
Starring: Stuart Witman, Robert Wagner and Rosemary Forsyth
Directed By: Irwin Allen
Description: A group of 21st-century colonists inhabit an underwater city called Pacifica. Originally intended as a purely scientific installation, the U. S. government wants to stash all its gold reserves from Fort Knox there, along with a fantastic new radioactive element. The brother of Pacifica's returning former commander plans to steal the gold and on top of that, the city faces destruction by an asteroid from outer space. This was a tv pilot from producer Irwin Allen. With it Allen was clearly hoping to continue the line of successes he had had with his previous sf series Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (1964-8), Lost in Space (1965-8), The Time Tunnel (1967) and Land of the Giants (1968-70), all of which had been hits. City appears to have been intended as a variant on Voyage. But the pilot failed to make it to a series whereupon Allen shrewdly reissued it internationally as a feature film.
Running Time: 98 minutes
Price: $15.95
