oh man, was that this movie? did that actually happen? it's not just your dvd. i saw this air on a movie channel a year ago or so, and the voices kept changing in langeuges! sometime it was talked in one languege, then change to another. just like that.
gina rode in like a wave,
making this a sunny day,
out here on this island,
from the water she puts out her hand,
climbs up the tree,
so high i can't reach,
gina, dances in her short dress,
seems like the sand is turning firess,
what an upbeat girl,
gina, the hottest thing on this island world,

on this beach, i hope for no rescue call.

That presentation of VIOLENT CITY is complete and uncut, featuring scenes omitted from all previous English language releases. Because those scenes were never dubbed into English, they are presented in Italian with English subtitles.

So
that's the reason! Then I really wish there was an option on the DVD to play the
cut version, so I could watch a language-consistent film. Or someone could spend the extra bucks to dub the Italian scenes now, using the same voice overs that we sometimes get in recent Seagal movies. They do not seem to detract from
those movies much, and they would certainly
not make the Italian scenes here any worse. In fact, a couple of geeks with an old tape recorder in their mom's basement would do far better than the Italian dubbing in this film.
