The ''Have a Happy'' number

The only true "musical number" in this otherwise non-musical film, this song actually a few interesting aspects to it. The song was written by Ben Weisman, Dolores Fuller and Florence Kaye, and all three were regular Elvis-soundtrack song writers. Dolores Fuller, who in fact is credited as co-writing 12 songs for Elvis, is perhaps best known for playing the title characters girlfriend in the 1953 surrealist drama "Glen or Glenda", and before becoming a songwriter, she was a B-movie actress. She had wanted an acting part in "Blue Hawaii", but somehow got hired as a songwriter instead. Florence Kaye is perhaps best known for co-writing "(You're The) Devil in Disguise". Ben Weisman had his songs recorded by Barbra Streisand, The Beatles and Bobby Vee.

The song was released on the 1970 budget album "Let's Be Friends", released by RCA Camden.
