I quite like this film, Elvis Presley does some good acting thanks to a decent script and strong supporting cast. The production values are also a lot higher than the usual Elvis flick too.
It is too bad that by the time he made this film he was so sick of making movies that he never acted again. Change of Habit was a step up from the silliness of Clambake, Tickle Me, and the like. I really believe that if Col Parker had chosen to work Elvis's talent rather than go for the quick cash Elvis could have racked up an impressive screen career. This film, though far from brilliant, gives you a little taste of what could have been. As it is, like CuddlyWarrior said, it's a cute little film.

I agree, it was a step up from the mid 60s `beach' movies and at least tried to say something and have a half-decent plot. It was a bit too `tv-movie' for me, but Elvis acted quite capably and shows he had a nice screen presence.
