Parody of the final scene in Planet of The Apes?

When Yossarian yells "Milo!" and it cuts to Milo on the beach, surrounded by ancient Greek statues, blithely explaining why Yossarian doesn't have a parachute. Felt like a parody of Heston yelling his famous 'damn you all to hell!' speech on the beach next to the wreckage of the Statue of Liberty in Planet of The Apes. Apes had just come out a couple years before this movie; not unlikely.
