Tommy Chong/Moon connection

Apparently, Tommy Chong went to a movie props auction (or he knew somebody in the props/wardrobe dept) at some point in the early 70's and purchased the sleeve-less denim jacket worn by Moon in the movie. I had a front row seat for a Cheech & Chong show at GA State University in '76. I was taking pictures for the GSU newspaper. At the finale of their show, Cheech came out wearing the vest with its "Heads MC: Calif" patch on the back and the name "Moon" on the front. When I saw the film again, It immediately clicked that Moon was wearing the same vest that Cheech wore at the show. I wonder who got the "CC" jacket?
