Not a real 'Sartana' entry....

Despite sharing the same director and writers of other "official" Sartana movies of the time, this one is not to be considered alongside them not just for having Hilton, instead of Garko, in a (slightly) different suit as the lead.

I had the pleasure to watch an Italian TV program made a couple of years ago where several surviving protagonists of the Euro-Western golden age, including George Hilton, Gianni Garko and Giuliano Gemma (all looking very healthy and kicking) were invited in studio to share their past experiences on the set: Hilton said that throughout the shooting of this movie there was no mention whatsoever, neither by the actors or in the script, of his character being called Sartana, the original title and character was changed after shooting (audio was added in post-production back then) to exploit the success of Garko's misterious gunfighter.
Hilton himself said he regarded the one's played by Garko as the only "true" Sartana films (maybe he did not want to get in a gunfight with Gianni, who was sitting right next to him? ).

Pretty good film on its own anyway, you can fully catch it on YT, in both Italian and English, and possibly also find the aforementioned TV special, if the Italian language is not an issue or just curiousity value.
