Anyone thinks this movie influenced the torture porn genre?
Afterall without this, there'd be no "Bloodsucking Freaks" or "Hostel".

Agreed but I think Saw probably made it possible for Hostel. But a lot of the torture devices in Mark of the Devil did appear to inspire Eli Roth to use in his movies. He even said in interviews that he got a lot from actual devices used during the Inquistion.

We need more movies influenced by this one today. I love to watch horror movies about the witch trials and although there are already a handful, I don't think there's too many where the subject is old, tired, and overdone. I believe we could stand to see a few more.
