filmed with 16mm or 35mm???

Anyone know???

The film looks to me like 16mm...but the technical specs at imdb say 35mm...anyone can confirm the film stock. thanks in advance.

35mm.

I don't think Herzog ever shot in 16mm.

He had stole a camera from the Munich Film School, a 35mm one, and had made many of his early films with it, including Dwarfs.

Land of Silence and Darkness was shot in 16mm, just to clarify. I'm not sure about any other films by him, however.

Herzog shot most of his early shorts on 16mm along with all of his early documentaries spanning from 1969 (The Flying Doctors of East Africa) up until Grizzly Man in 2005 on 16mm (Super-16 for his later docs).

All of his narrative feature films were shot on 35mm with the exception of Lessons of Darkness (Super 16), The Wild Blue Yonder (a mix of digital & 16mm), and My Son, My son What Have Ye Done (digital).
