Not as scary 30 years later/Hitchcock (SPOILER)

This movie was so frightening to me as a child that I had to sleep in my mum's bed with her after we watched it:). The part where Jane finds Cathy's body haunted my dreams for years. However, on seeing it last night for the 1st time in 30 years, it seemed very tame, probably because movies have got so extreme these days. The sight of a dead body in a film years ago was very scary indeed. Now it's just routine to see dead and mutilated corpses on the screen. Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed my trip down memory lane. It brought back so many memories of me and Mam cowering behind our coffees on the couch waiting for the next fright:). A litte gem of a movie but surprisingly to me, not made by Hitchcock. All these years I thought it was one of his:)
