Tedious
I was pretty disappointed. Fassbinder is pretty bad. I've seen three films, Petra and Ali beside this one, and all three have been terrible, preachy or tedious.

On the other hand, it's so bad that you finally figure, hey, I can make a movie too! Thus, liberatingl-bad -- as distinct from nauseating Hollywood-bad.
shareI thought Ali was great & Petra pretty interesting too, mainly because they moved at a much faster pace than this one. Nothing terrible about any of the three, though. It's interesting watching Fassbinder evolve and get better with each film.
