60's Fashion Show

Has there ever been anything as hysterical as that second fashion show?? It's so pretentious the way the people are seated in the room to witness the spectacular collection with all the dancing, lights, etc... and it's SEVEN dresses! They don't have anything to do with each other, either! Seven very different styles, some of which aren't even shown off to full effect or for as long as others... It's crazy! The music for that scene is through-the-roof hilarious. The dancing is uproarious. So everyone gathered there to see this "collection" which takes all of 4 minutes? It's like the writers/producers have never seen a fashion show. There are usually variations on a particular style of dress or a running theme. SOMETHING... In any case, it's a laugh riot from start to finish and someday I WILL perfect the move that the one in the 1920's hat does with her legs.

That scene was a special bonus when I got it on video. I had no idea! Then I had to get the widescreen dvd to see it in its entirety. It is AMAZING! So much sixties kitsch at once - it´s an overdose!
I love the outfits, the models, the dancing, the "rawk" music and the fact that it´s obvious that the audience was filmed at another time - not during the show. They thought they were making something very hip then.

Then there are the quotes after the show. "Sue Anne.... Sue Anne..." and whatever it is the guy playing Dax tries to utter. He is one of the worst actors ever. How could they expect him to arry the movie? George Hamilton would have been perfect!
