I figure the chances of this coming out on Blu Ray are next to nothing...especially given that even the DVD is now out of print.
But man, what I wouldn't give to see this glorious, trashy epic in high definition...
I can't imagine that anyone's life would be worth the sacrifice.

I have never been able to find this movie on DVD or even VHS, I can only remember seeing it once on TV as a kid in the late 70's or early 80's. From what I can recall, quite alot actually, I really enjoyed this movie and have wanted to add it to my collection since becoming an adult. I vividly remember just how BIG and Beautiful the cinematography was and how fascinated I was with it's depiction of South American politics or lack thereof. I loved this movie and I'm very fortunate to have found a copy, I can't wait to watch it again, who knows maybe now I will think it sucks but I doubt it.
shareThere's a nice HD version available on iTunes. Otherwise, I'd say its best shy of a Blu-Ray release would be through Olive Films, as they've licenced a number of Paramount catalogue titles.

I bought the VHS video and bought a second hand tv-videoplayer combination just to see this movie again. I saw it about 40 years ago and was to young to understand everything.
Given the nonsense that IS available on dvd and blu ray, this movie should have been long ago.
