Jim Morrison was originally signed to do this movie and shooting began with him in the Michael Douglas role. His erratic behavior got him kicked off the project. This is chronicled in the book No One Here Gets Out Alive. I sa this movie late at night about twenty years ago. I thought it was better than the 5.9 rating listed, but this is my opinion. I always liked movies of this period. If Morrison had finished the project, you would see this picture on lots of "must see" lists.
