This is what I would call an underrated film and Jim Brown is an average actor, at least here. Which is maybe saying a lot, given how early in his acting career he was.

I know I'm not the only one to be irritated that no one will give this film a release. When you look at the garbage they release on DVD, it really, um...ticks me off.

In this movie, as with all of his others, Jim Brown's acting is just so-so. Although he was arguably the greatest football player ever, as an actor Jim Brown was never anything compared to Al Pacino.

You're obviously one of those viewers who thinks when an actor chews up the scenery in every scene he's in, it makes him a good actor. Pacino has had maybe two or three good performances in the last 25 years or so. He keeps getting paychecks because because the ' American Sheeple ' don't know what good acting is. Sad...very sad.

Did you have another mini stroke while expressing your opinion, genius?

I always thought his acting skills were perfectly fine. Not Oscar worthy maybe, but then again people seem to forget that Brown was mostly an action hero.

Most action stars are (in general) not famous for their acting skills. Nobody really expects Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Statham etc. to excel in this area.

Some critics called the movie "a poor man's In the Heat of the Night", but this is actually unfair to a movie which is very good in its own right.

Pretty good!

He came across as someone who would not actually beat up the women in his (real) life.

Perhaps the OP just wants to reach out for some sense of community.
