The Non Release of the DVD is a Crime!

If they would just release the Movie on Dvd I'd be happy. I contacted the Criterion Collection on remastering this very encompassing movie. To my dismay it's not yet on the list, YET! I had recommeded two movies they did put out within months of my suggesting. "Robinson Crusoe on Mars" and "Two Lane Blacktop". Their work is fantastic.
It's an extreme shame, maybe even a crime they don't do this one.
Just like the non release of "Then Came Bronson" Movie and Series is a true crime! The 70's California, Wyoming and surrounding backdrops will be forever lost.

RCOM and TLB are out now? Woohoo!

You are right, TTT was an absorbing little film and just as deserving of release.

Yes yet another movie deserving of the DVD treatment. Saw this a few years later in 72 or 73 but haven't seen it since. Yet this movie still resonates with me. Racism is in fact a very ugly trait and most people would not admit to being a racist even to save their own life. However this movie does an excellent job of showing just how ugly racism can and continues to be. I must have seen this movie at a very impressionable age because i remember it like it was yesterday. But that's going on 40 years or so since I last had a chance to see this movie (reel to reel format) and that's a shame. With all that's happened vis a vis race relations in the last 30+ years I feel this movie's message is as important now as it was back then. In fact I think its message of injustice & tolerance would be well received by today's generation most of whom haven't seen it let alone know of its existence. So what's the hold up here; song rights? Come on guys give a little and release this movie A.S.A.P. Its fan base including me aren't getting any younger!

Just out this week through Warner Archives!

yeah but does Warner's version contain the original soundtrack? Until then I'll keep watching the one I recorded off TNT some years ago.

Just received my copy yesterday. Ordered it on Amazon and it's in pretty good quality with the original soundtrack.
