Things I've Noticed Watching for the Nth Time

The yellow Partridges were made much more vivid yellow starting in the second season. When the Partridges are facing the left side of the screen (left as you're looking at it), their eyes are closed. The first time Mama Partridge turns her head, eye on the other side is still closed. Second time it's open. As the little Partridges turn their heads, eye on the other side is open.

The exact same performances were reused. For instance, "Summer Days" in "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Partridge" is the exact same footage as in "Home is Where the Heart Was." Incidentally, I consider this the single cutest thing in the whole series, particularly the exchange between Keith and Tracy, made poignant now that they're both gone.

I have to check that out sometimes. The Summer Days song is cute, now as a mature adult, I pay more attention to the lyrics. Some of those songs are kinda racy for a 70's family show but oh well. Since I was in primary grades when it was cancelled, I watched the show on DVD last summer. Although I have watched reruns over the years. Some episodes I never saw before. In the song, Keith serenades each family member. On YT, a fan stated the producers made David sing to each cast member in some songs, since he tended to gravitate to Susan in rehearsals I guess. Makes sense if they were secretly dating.

I don't think I could possibly have missed any episodes over the years but some sure made more impression than others.
