Michael Laird, who played the title character of the Dark Boy, was (according to Scott Skelton and Jim Benson, co-authors of Rod Serling's Night Gallery: An After-Hours Tour, a book I recommend highly to fans of the series) the adopted son of NG producer Jack Laird.
