ESPN felt that the song “All My Rowdy Friends Are Here on Monday Night” wouldn't resonate when games are being played in mostly empty stadiums, reports Sports Business Journal. Instead, ESPN worked with Little Richards' estate to update the song "Rip It Up" with modern instrumentals. Williams' "All My Rowdy Friends" was previously dropped in 2011 after the country singer compared President Obama to Hitler and described Joe Biden as “the enemy," but his theme song was brought back in 2017.
