Opening Credits - Does Mary Fall?

I am new to the show but have caught quite a few episodes in recent marathons. One thing I have wondered each time the opening credits roll is what exactly happens to Mary as she is holding the microphone on the curb behind the van with the other reporters. Does she fall right before the camera cuts to another clip?

She isn't falling. It's supposed to be comical that she has to duck at the last second---realizing, if she doesn't, she will be within view of the camera. The person being interviewed on TV is supposed to be the only one within view--none of the production crew (which includes Mary holding the microphone).

Was that opening credits clip taken from an episode?
I know on most shows, the editors incorporate clips from the first several eps., but I never saw the one this scene may have been from.

The viewer rarely sees Mary (or any other newsroom character) outside of the office "on the job..."

None of the exterior scenes in the opening montage were specifically from an episode. However, the brief moment showing Mary & Rhoda laughing and bonding while they are walking down the street was definitely filmed during the same timeframe as the episode where they fight & make up again.

That specific shot was not in the episode. However, after they make up, there is a very similar one showing them walking on the same street in the same clothes.

Keep in mind the show was taped on a soundstage in Los Angeles. They probably only made a couple trips to Minneapolis-- specifically to film the outdoor opening credits and scene transitions, so it makes sense these type of shots wouldn't have been included in an episode.

She comes in the front door, and just as she walks forward to greet the guests in her living room she trips over the ottoman and does a flip.
