Anyone else get annoyed at Bill's singing?

Am I alone?

Probably I'd say - Bill's songs were terrific! They added so much to the show - I especially love his tunes "Stop That Gibbon" and "Needed" - his song for the "Bunfight At the OK Tea Rooms" episode was a classic too - Bill Oddie, was, and still is, a genius in my book - a true TV legend! The Goodies are still the greatest comic team to ever grace TV screens.

Yes, his singing could be a bit annoying. It usually accompanied the speeded up exterior scenes and nearly always consisted of the same lyric repeated over and over like "Doctor!", "Dumb Animals". The song that he wrote for the speeded up scenes that had the most different lyrics in it was one that just went over and over "Come back, don't be shy now, come back, don't be shy now, come back......"

It's uncool of me to admit it, but one of the first LP's I bought was the Goodies LP (with the Funky Gibbon on). I sold it at a second hand shop may years ago. Bill is probably tolerable in small doses. I hated the funked up second version version of the theme which ran over the 3rd and 4th series and was relieved when the dynamic version followed it.

I'm pretty sure Bill was the only musician in the group. Plus, he wrote all the songs, so without him, there wouldn't be much in the way of musical numbers.
