You are a lucky person to have meet the Goodies. I loved them when I was a kid. I still love them now. I notice from your profile that you like british comedy. I presume you are Australian. It is nice to know that we do produce good shows which are appreicate by our cousins.

The best films are made in an intelligent format.

Yes. I'll go further and say it was the best comedy to hit the big or small screen, ever.

It feels dangerous to point one out as "best of all time", since it depends so much on the point of view and state of mind at the moment. The Goodies is certainly one of the greatest, and with a unique and well-working format. But if you ask me to say which one is best, Goodies, Monty Python, Benny Hill, Fawlty Towers, Mr Bean, Mighty Boosh...

OK, it is the best of that crowd, but I am not sure that it is impossible to find a comparable one, somewhere. But it strikes me as unlikely that any of the newer series has a chance. Why? Not because the comedians are untalented today, but because they have smaller budgets today. Even The Goodies dropped in quality when they had budget cuts, like in the LWT series.

No, I don't agree. Sure, we would've said that when we were kids, but not as adults.
