Rolf Harris
Do you now look differently at the "Scatty Safari" episode, where Rolf Harris is the main attraction, now that Rolf Harris has been charged by police of sexual offences?

shareNo.
shareRolf Harris never actually appeared on the Goodies. He said people ask him about being on the show, but it wasn't him, just a look-a-like, but he would have done it if they'd ask him.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but i wouldn't want to live there
I can't imagine that episode will get a DVD release now.
"With a smile as bright as sunshine
She called me through the poster
And welcomed me aboard"
I watched "Scatty Safari" again about a week ago, and it actually seems even funnier now. The episode is laughing AT him, not WITH him.
shareThe episode 'Scatty Safari' also features a Jimmy Saville look-a-like and a brief appearance from the real-life Tony Blackburn.
For the record, I thought Blackburn's recent dismissal from the BBC for 'covering-up' Saville's crimes was a trumped-up charge. It IS true that at the official inquiry in 2015, Blackburn denied ever receiving a memo from BBC top-brass asking him if he had heard of any unsavoury stories about Sir Jimmy. It is also true that the records proved that he HAD unquestionably been sent such a memo, and that Blackburn was lying when he claimed otherwise.
However, it is also true that the memo was sent to him in 1970, and therefore POSSIBLE that Tony Blackburn's memory was not quite what it was when he was in his 20's....
