Really Enjoyed His Show as a Child

I was a fan of this show during grade school along with my parents. He was the first black comedian and one of the first black entertainers I regularly encountered as a child - The Jackson 5 would be another - and he made a big, positive impression on me. I was surprised and saddened when his career downshifted. Lots of good memories of his many catch phrases and colorful characters.
