So farewell then Iain Cuthbertson a.k.a. Charlie Endell Esq. The Glaswegian 'Al Capone'.

Hear hear....very sad news. Budgie would not have been the same without him. A fine, funny actor, very sadly missed.

I know. What a terrible coincidence!

Haven't watched 'Budgie' in a while. Time to retrieve it from my collection and give it another play methinks.

I played the last episode on Christmas Day. I had been saving it, or avoiding it, for a couple of years since I got the box set - I couldn't bring myself to watch it (I remembered how upset I was at the end of Channel 4's showing of it back in the early Eighties). I raised a glass to Adam, Keith and Iain.

Such a shame to see them go, as time goes by you forget their age and remember them back in the day. Again, THANKS Iain, Adam, Keith, Willis & Verity.

I always loved Ian in Budgie, however even before we lost him,in my head he is always playing 'Inspector Mclevy' whenever it's on thr radio ( usually 4 or 4+ in U.K.) Brian Cox does a grand job but for some reason Ian always gets the gig in my Victorian Leith (Siobhan Redmond is of course ' Jean Brash' a role that is screaming to be brought to T.V. As indeed is 'Mclvy'
