Leo and Greenlee thread

I think there needs to be a thread entirely devoted to not only the best soap couple of all time, but the best T.V. couple of all time. So, I decided to create a thread to discuss all things Leo and Greenlee.

I was only 6-7 years old when I first watched them. My mom always watched AMC. I loved them from the minute I saw them. They are both so good looking and their chemistry is incredible. They are both terrific actors and their storylines were interesting.

When Josh cane back in 2011 I wasn't really watching AMC anymore, but I was super excited to see Leo back. Very dissapointing he was only in a dream sequence. However, I read if it wasn't for Prospect Park he was going to be alive. The writers had to keep the characters open because they didn't know who would sign on to to Prospect Park yet. So I believe and think that Leo was alive and David saved him. He and Greenlee went to Paris together and are happy. It's a soap and I can think whatever I want. I can't just let it be that Leo just died and that's the ending the best couple on T.V. got. Rebecca was disappointed they didn't end up together too and I remember reading they taped another ending scene where Leo was alive in a suit at a party and Rebecca said she wished fans could have seen that. I would pay big bucks to see that scene. Also, how Leo died was dumb. He is a huge guy and he should have been able to take that gun away from Vanessa a older woman with no problem. The struggle they had is ridiculous. Leo looked like he was fighting a man. He could have easily punched Vanessa out cold. I know she was his mom, but he did try to strangle her right before that and she was crazy. He also should have humored Vanessa until they were off that cliff. He should have took the diamonds and said let's go mom and pretend to leave. He should have said he was going to run off with her, but only if she let Greenlee go. Him dying was so tragic and upsetting. When Greenlee imagined him saving her instead of Tray was heartbreaking. When Leo said how many times do I have to tell you our love is forever and Greenlee saying I believe it, I still tear up thinking back to it.

Rebecca's scenes after Leo died was the best acting I have ever seen on T.V., she is truly an underrated actress and definitely deserved many Daytime Emmy's.

Anyway about 4 or 5 years ago I started re-watching their scenes on YouTube, some were the first time I ever saw them. I just enjoyed them so much. I started re-watching all their scenes back in May and I just love watching them. They are magic together on screen. I have never seen anybody have as much chemistry as they do. It's not even like their acting, It's like just watching two people in love.

I am so grateful they have so many of their amazing scenes on YouTube. The ones they don't have I have to rely on transcripts. If anybody has any of their scenes on tape, people on YouTube would love to see them, so if you can try to post them, we would be grateful.

A few things the writers did that did annoy me about them are Leo being so mean to Greenlee. He was much meaner to her than she was to him. I know they both had trust issues, but he said some pretty mean things to her throughout the years especially when he was with Laura. I also thought it was annoying how obsessed Greenlee was with Ryan. She had a great guy like Leo in front of her and only could harp and obsess about Ryan. Leo must have really liked her because other guys would have moved on.

I thought it was dumb when Greenlee pushed Laura off the yacht even if she was drugged she seems too tiny to do that. I understand why she blackmailed Bianca and lied to Leo and everyone though. She had trust issues and was scared of losng Leo. I just felt if they needed them to break up, the writers should have thought of something more realistic, like her beating up Laura or something.

I couldn't stand how many break ups they had, it's like the writers barely had them together. I know it's a soap opera and there needs to be drama, but why couldn't they have other problems besides constantly breaking up. I mean other soap couples have problems, but they're not always about each other.

Laura was a stupid character and the actress's voice was so annoying. A guy like Leo would have never given her the time of day if this was real life. It was annoying how he was always blowingn off Greenlee for Bianca or Laura and putting them first.

I couldn't stand how the writers all of a sudden created Leo coming to Pine Valley for Greenlee's money. It's like they pulled out of a hat a reason for them to break up a second time. There was no mention of this until the second year he was on. All of a sudden he had to push Greenlee away after their first break up because he couldn't risk her finding out the real reason he came to town. It's like a few months before that he was living with her and happy, there was no mention of this storyline then. I believe he married Kat for money because the writers acknowledged he was a con artist with his mom before he came to town.

Leo marrying Laura was insane and how long he stayed married to her and was awful to Greenlee was even more crazy. I hated that storyline.

I think Jake was good for Greenlee, he made her grow as a person and was a good influence on her and was definitely there for her during the Leo Laura mess.

I am up to Dec. 2001, so I will write back when I finish watching their story.

I just wanted to create a thread where we can talk about this amazing couple and their story. They are truly entertaining and one of a kind. If your looking for something to watch, I would recommend watching their story and reading the transcripts in between scenes they don't have, so you can know what's going on a little more, but YouTube does have most their scenes.
I'm loving watching them, they're definitely better than anything on now and are in a league of their own.

Anything anybody else want to add about this amazing couple??
