Who is the guy playing the cigarette game ?

There is a scene where Robert Wagner and some guy are playing a game burning holes in a cloth with a dime laying on it. Who is that guy? He looks so familiar but I cannot find him listed

The actor is Barry Ford, who plays "Bottineau," the driver whom Paul Newman's "Frank Capua" character pulls ahead of at the end of the Indianapolis 500 to win the race. The character's first name might have been Carl, but I can't remember for sure.
