I'm amazed I'm the first and only fan to comment! I love this movie so much- the 'sixties nightclub, the Zodiac, the clothes.......fantastic!

I saw this about thirty years ago and I still remember it fairly vividly, so it must have had something going for it. It was certainly a bit of a shock seeing Norm in a kaftan, let alone in bed with Sally Geeson.

In fact, my recollection is that it was quite poignant and sad, you could tell that Norman was going to get hurt, and he did, even though he seemed to take away something from his experience and revitalise his relationship with his wife (who was actually pretty hot, as I recall it)

But I may just be romanticising it in my memory. Menahem Golan is not a name one normally associates with quality cinema...

I used to want to change the world. Now I just want to leave the room with a little dignity.

No, you're right - it is a poignant film. Sally Geeson IS lovely, and Sally Bazely isn't at all bad either!

I quite liked one of the reviewers' comments about the "hippies" resembling those in "Carry On Camping", although I think we have to accept the Pretty Things as very much the genuine article.

These late-60s films, flawed as they usually are, are soft targets for hostile critics (other examples include "The Bliss of Mrs Blossom" and "Every Home Should Have One"). Now that more than 40 years have passed they deserve a more thoughtful evaluation, rather than statements of the blindingly obvious (e.g. "dated").
