Hi Morticia,

This movie will be released on DVD in the UK later on this year by BFI Video. Not quite sure when - I'm writing the sleevenotes for it right now - but probably around June.

UK DVD from BFI on May 26. £9.99 - no extras.

The BFI DVD has a few extras - an 11-minute making of documentary by Paul Joyce from 1969, trailer and booklet.

It's being aired on Fox Movie Channel. So, if you get that cable channel, be sure to watch for it. It just came on at 3 a.m. and will be shown again at noon today.

I not only have the novel, which sports a picture from the film on the cover, but also a movie poster. Sadly, it never played in our town, not even at the drive-in. Of course, this was looooong before multiplexes or even having more than one theater in most towns/cities.

I LOVE FMC! (...and TCM, too, of course...)

Anyone know if Fox is planning to release this movie on DVD in the USA? I just watched it on the Fox Movie Channel and fell in love with it. Curious that I missed it upon its first release in theaters in 1969. I would have loved it then as I do now. Perhaps it did not receive a very wide theatrical release then.

Well shucks, I'm eight years late to the party, but they're selling it on ioffer.com for 9 dollars, shipping included.

Just watched this on FXM. Very neat movie and Anjelica Huston was so beautiful and young! Made a great St Patrick's Day.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. What's FXM?
