follow up?

would you like to see a follow up or a remake. i love the original and am surprised no one has looked at remaking it, but i think it would be better to do a follow up cos remakes of great films are normally bad.

so heres an idea- RETURN TO THE VALLEY OF GWANGI- it takes place a few months after the original a group of cowboys ride into town seeing the mess that has happened, and hearing talk of another gwangi they decide to venture back into the valley to kill it before the same thing can happen again.

hope gwangi fans like the idea
thanks

I'd like to see a sequel of this great movie, but, unfortunately for us,nowadays it seems that hollywood has forgotten how to make a good ol' adventure film :(

Anyway,my ideas about a possible sequel:

6 months (or maybe 1 year) have passed since the "Gwangi incident",and life seems to be back to normal for all;the main character of the first movie (i don't remember his name)is now married with the girl (again from the 1st movie) and runs a farm in Wyoming. But the things don't go so well, and when a group of paleontologists ask him to help them to explore the "forbidden valley" where Gwangi was found, and they offer more than a fist of dollars to do so,our hero decides that's time to face dinosaurs again...

Would make a good premise for a comic book series that might grow into a movie... Warner Brothers own any comic companies???

just thoroughly enjoyed another rewatch of The Valley Of Gwangi. I am also a big fan of this film and that goes for most Harryhausen movies.

As much as I'd like to see a follow up , sadly that won't be happening. A remake may well be done but lets hope it is a decent one and not a low budget straight to dvd fare.

A direct follow up by way of comics is another matter. As another poster suggested. It is a great premise for a comic series. I have checked and I don't think it has been done ... yet.

However there was a great movie adaptation of the original film and seriously worth checking out. Skips on one or two scenes but basically captures the film on print.

As a Gwangi fan I certainly like the idea you have proposed and also being an aspiring comic book artist I wouldn't mind working on a fan fiction sequel for free of course (who owns Gwangi rights these days?!) and serialise it somewhere
