Wayne, Campbell, Duvall, Hopper....

[Sesame Street singing voice]

Which of these is not like the other...
One of these actors doesn't belong

I liked both True Grits. But one thing I've always had a hard time getting past is Glen Cambell's horrible acting performance. Every time the guy spoke, I felt like I was watching a local high school production of True Grit. And next to some of the other amazing actors in this film, that stands out more than anything.

Both movies are great. But Campbell's poor acting detracts from the first one, for me.

Oh, and one other thing bugs me a little. I've lived in Oklahoma my whole life, and I've been all over this state. There's not a spot anywhere in this great state that remotely resembles the Indian Territory in this film. I mean EVERYTHING is wrong about it - terrain, vegetation... hell even the rocks look wrong.

Great film, just a lot of mistakes.

I feel Campbell did a better job than his counterpart in the remake
