I think she is a random person who happened to be there, so at first it looked like she was rejecting him, but probably she was turned on by him cause he was hot, so let him have his own way.
That scene is to show us his eccentricities. Throughout the sequence we see what he is experiencing, auditory hallucination, hallucination...so perhaps also that scene is all in his head.
