Really dumb movie, even dumber guy - Spoilers

What is the point of the movie? Are we supposed to feel sorry for Taylor? I don't. He made his choices so he can't be upset when others do the same. What exactly did he think was going to happen? He's clueless. What do you think happens when you put certain things together or in each other's path? There's a natural reaction. Did he finally figure it out when he was in the water or when he was recovering in bed? Wow, even Tarzan, with no formal education, gets it.
