The beginning of this movie sucked me in and though I like the whole movie, I felt that with what they set up character and plot wise they could have taken this to another level but it more sort of went formula and ended.

Tauchalum: I think with 12 O'Clock High, this movie pales by comparison...I thought it was somewaht cheesy and like you have stated, they punked out and went with the "formula"....
Another thing that is rarely mentioned, in 12 OCH, they did not have any "love interests"..The only Females were the Nurse and the Lady handing out coffee and doughnuts....Hollywood has a fetish for "Love" and they insert it into almost everything they do these days...
Sometimes they should try to be original and break the mold..
