How is Hilary Dwyer in this?

Does she have a large part? I have read the film itself is no great shakes but as a fan of Hilary's, I wonder if it's worth getting for her scene alone?

I am also a big fan of Hilary's. She has quite a few scenes in this, but not enough for my liking! In fact, her presence in this is really the only thing that stops it from being a complete waste of time. But, be warned - the producers sidelined Hilary (unfairly) most of the time in favour of an untalented actress named Lorna Wilde (who does not have the beauty or charisma of Hilary).

What none of the reviewers have mentioned is this - the film starts off very much like an episode of THE AVENGERS. In fact, I actually kept expecting the title of the episode to come up! Watch it and you'll get my meaning.

The rest of the film revolves around Patrick Allen, who is a special agent/investigator brought in by the military to investigate a series of disappearing parachutists. However, he spends more time eyeing up the women than on the scientific aspects (one reason why so many hate the film). The ending for the film is very, very poor indeed (the main reason why people hate the film!).

Much of the film has an Avengers-type feel to it, especially with the likes of Allan Cuthbertson appearing in a small role, and the "The Minister isn't going to like this" sort of talk.

But, every moment that the sexy Hilary is onscreen is just pure bliss. Instead of playing the weak woman (who someone usually manages to get into bed), she actually plays an intelligent scientist (and plays hard to get with Patrick Allen!). However, when you have seen the film, you will understand how it was so easy for her to be enticed to AIP for the making of such films as THE OBLONG BOX and CRY OF THE BANSHEE.

I give this film a rating of 8 out of 10. But, that's only because Hilary is in it!
