WTF TTBOD

What did Courtley think was going to happen drinking the blood? If the others had drank as well, would there be 4 Draculas running around? Why does Dracula want to avenge Courtley, he didn't know him at all. A vampire can bite another vampire and kill them? Unless Lucy wasn't a full vamp, this doesn't make sense. And that he had no time for several days to put the bite on Alice is ludicrous. Just so she can walk away with the hero at the end. Drac's death was perhaps his lamest yet. Apparently, Drac is no one to work up a sweat over.

Yeah this film is indeed filled with several strange plot devices and numerous inconsistencies but I still love it, it's easily one of the most entertaining films in the Hammer Dracula series.

I did think it was strange that he wanted to avenge Courtly, since I think Dracula would have wanted to take over the man's body to come back. But I think It's because Dracula thought the man could have had further use for him, then he could have disposed of him when he chose. Plus he's a pretty vengeful guy already.

He didn't turn Alice because he needed her to do his bidding and go out in daylight. He would have sunk his fangs in when the time was right. His lust for blood killed Lucy, dude drained her. As for his death, I thought it was one of the most interesting in the series, with Paul having the intelligence to re-sanctify the Church.
