Stereo + Scanners

Just watched this last night (thank you, Blue Underground). I liked it. I can see how it would bore some people to tears, but I found the social science textbook-style dialog to be fascinating.

This film also seems to be a proto-Scanners; Revok is here in the form of a test subject who drills a hole in his head to "relieve the pressure."

Actually guys in the 60s drilled holes in their heads.
I found a book on Drugs where it describes how they drilled it and how it feels. They describe it like a permanent high ...
Weird guys for sure some acid heads ... :)

Not just in the 60's.
People still do it.
Just rarely...

And the guy below you is wrong.
Its called TREPANATION not TREPIDATION.
But i've heard the same thing, about it becoming like a permanent high.

Sounds interesting...... I GUESS

and not only now, they've been doing it for hundreds of years... ancient skulls have been located that has had holes drilled in but evidently no fatal injury... said that it gave them a way of excorcise evil spirits from their minds...

Trepanation is also known as trepanning, trephination, trephining or burr hole. See? You're both right.
