Brilliant... for me.

What a brilliant experiment (the movie I mean). I was seriously inspired to make a somewhat similar film of my own. Although it's short run time it captures everything it needs to, but it has of course several lesser parts and some thing could have been done differently. The frames were by the way a 100% perfect!!!! And the opening sequence was extremely original. Overal 9/10, 89%.

Sadly though this is pretty much on it's own genre wise and it's artistic merits and value seem to only move certain individuals. There's no way I could ever recommend this.

I wish more people had seen this. My late husband was very offended by it, although he wouldn't really explain why---he said it was "perverted." OK, whatever.

Idea-wise, it´s interesting as all of Cronenberg´s works are, but as a piece of cinema, it really doesn´t work too well - it´s dry and dull like some lecture by a professor who needs to work on his verbal skills. The black and white, sterile cinematography was intriguing at first, but grew kinda stale and monotone after a while. A mildly intriguing curiosity from a young filmmaker yet to find his proper voice. 5,5-6/10.

I wish I could agree. I found the cinematography intriguing, but the story and narration seemed detached from the imagery. This does offer a hint, however, of the inspired imagination to come from Cronenberg. 5/10 stars from me.

I liked the ideas behind this film, but the cold and clinical style created a sense of detachment that was impossible for me to warm up to. That said, the stark black and white cinematography was often gorgeous and I liked how the narration tended to contrast radically with what was shown in the film. 6 out of 10 from me.
