poss Spoiler - Charlie is SO mean to Harry....(apparently it was the playwright's own story...?) but you can tell they DO love each other in spite of all the bickering. Note Charlie's relationship with HIS own mother - explains why he can't deal with Harry's mother. also funny scenes in the park before it rains...

Charlie is mean because he isn't getting any. Since Harry lost his hair overnight he hasn't been able to have sex. Harry suffers from the delusion that his self worth is in his sex appeal and that his sex appeal was in his beautiful hair, now all gone.
