Posting on Amazon

Does anyone know how Amazon decides to post a movie listing before the studios decide to release it on DVD? Older movies that have not been released on DVD often can be found on Amazon which allows potential buyers to add it to their wish lists thereby not only "voting" for the movie but also informing the studio or whoever owns the rights of the numbers of people that would like it to be released. As of yet, "Santa Vittoria" does not yet appear on Amazon at all. I would like Amazon to list it so those of us who like this movie could have the opportunity of voting for it and thereby informing them that there may be demand for this movie.
If anyone knows how Amazon does this I would appreciate it.
