Haven`t seen it in 20 years and hope they don`t muck the dvd up-some sites are listing pan-scan 1.33:1.

Very pleased with the DVD release of the film. One of my personal favorites. I remember watching this at the (Revere) Drive-In with my family the year it was released...I was 9 years old.

We brought a cooler full of food including cheese slices, pepperoni slices, sandwiches, salad and wine for the adults and wine coolers (ginger ale with a splash of wine)for the kids. I guess today that it is considered child abuse giving alcohol to kids but it was part of our lives growing up Italian.....seven parts ginger ale....one part red wine and a lot of ice.

Anyway....great movie! I had the pleasure of getting to know Anthony Quinn as he retired to my hometown of Bristol, RI. He spent the last years of his life here sculpting and painting at his estate on Poppasquash Road. Great guy. Walked around town...joined us locals for breafast at the local diner...no bodyguards or entourage...just a super nice man! A class act!

Check out some of my other late sixties favorites..."The Russians Are Coming' and "It's A mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World!"
